Why you should try pilates!

If I could shout TRY PILATES from a rooftop, I would!!! Pilates has 100% changed and improved my lifestyle. I used to always see people doing it, but honestly, a lot of them didn’t look like me. I’m a thicker woman a plus divvaaaaa, okay lol and most of what I saw were super fit bodies. And yes, that’s a goal, but my reality is my reality.

So last summer, I finally booked a session. Chillleeee, and why was my very first class jumpboard?! I don’t know who I thought I was. But the instructor was Black, the playlist was FIRE, and I made it through. I was sore for a week straight, but something told me to keep going. So I did. Every week I booked another class jumpboard, abs and glutes, classical Pilates and I started falling in love with it. My core got stronger, my body started changing, and I just felt better overall.

Pilates really meets you where you are. You don’t have to be skinny or in perfect shape. You just have to show up and stay consistent. I tell everybody now try it. And if you really want results, add walking 3–4 times a week for about 30 minutes and one Pilates class a week. Babbbbyyyyyyyy, it’s a game changer.
